A marginal decline in net profit marked Nihon Shokuhin Kako’s performance for the half-year ending September 30, with earnings settling at 1.22 billion yen compared to 1.27 billion yen during the same period last year. Despite the dip in bottom-line results, the company maintained steady top-line revenue at 33.68 billion yen.

Nihon Shokuhin Kako Profit Slips to 1.22 Billion Yen

Operating profit saw a slight improvement, rising to 1.64 billion yen from the previous year’s 1.57 billion yen. However, pretax profit followed the net profit trend, slipping to 1.71 billion yen from 1.78 billion yen. Earnings per share also saw a minor adjustment, falling to 255.92 yen from 257.34 yen. These figures, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a period of stable revenue streams alongside fluctuating profitability margins for the food processing firm.
