The company reported revenue of 1.73 trillion yen for the six-month period, up from 1.17 trillion yen in 2025. However, this growth failed to translate into bottom-line success, as operating profit tumbled to 60.36 billion yen compared to the 141.11 billion yen generated previously. Pretax profit followed a similar downward trajectory, settling at 45.87 billion yen against the prior year's 125.68 billion yen.
Shareholders saw earnings per share drop to 59.50 yen, down from 175.22 yen in the previous half-year cycle. These financial statements, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a challenging environment for the utility provider as it navigates shifting market conditions that have squeezed profitability despite higher overall sales figures.
