Bambusa Therapeutics Slumps in Trading Debut

Investors cooled on Bambusa Therapeutics during the company's first day of public trading Friday, pushing shares down more than 9% following an upsized initial public offering. Bambusa Therapeutics Slumps in Trading Debut

The stock recently changed hands at $14.53, a significant drop from its opening price of $14.88. This performance follows the company’s decision to increase the scale of its offering, ultimately selling 10.6 million shares at $16 each. Management had originally planned to issue roughly 9.4 million shares within a price range of $15 to $17. The market's tepid reaction signals caution toward the biotech sector, even as Bambusa successfully secured more capital than originally outlined in its regulatory filings.
