Nakabohtec Corrosion Losses Triple in First Half

A 260 million yen net loss for the six-month period ending September 30 marks a sharp downturn for Nakabohtec Corrosion Protecting Co. Ltd. compared to the previous year. The Tokyo-listed firm saw its deficit widen significantly as operating losses deepened to 401 million yen amid a softening revenue stream.

Nakabohtec Corrosion Losses Triple in First Half

Revenue at the corrosion prevention specialist dipped to 4.81 billion yen from 4.98 billion yen in the same period last year. This contraction in top-line performance contributed to an operating loss of 401 million yen, a substantial increase from the 146 million yen loss reported in 2025. Pretax figures mirrored this downward trajectory, settling at a 362 million yen loss compared to 109 million yen a year prior.

Shareholders face a stark reality as earnings per share dropped to a negative 110.03 yen from 35.33 yen. While the company maintained a year-end dividend forecast of 260 yen, the midyear payout remains at zero. These results, calculated under Japanese accounting standards, reflect the mounting pressure on the company’s bottom line during the first half of the fiscal year.
