A 3% volume decline in the water flow solutions division dragged Mueller Water Products’ quarterly revenue to $376.5 million, narrowly missing the prior year’s $380.8 million benchmark. Despite the topline contraction, the company managed to sustain earnings at 33 cents per share, aligning with broader market expectations for the period.

Mueller Water Revenue Slips as Demand Softens

Net income held steady at $52.3 million for the fiscal fourth quarter, nearly identical to the $52.6 million reported during the same window last year. When adjusted for specific items, earnings reached 38 cents a share, meeting the consensus estimates gathered by FactSet. While the water flow business faced headwinds, total quarterly revenue still managed to edge past the $375.5 million Wall Street had anticipated.

Looking ahead, the manufacturer set its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance between $1.44 billion and $1.47 billion. This outlook falls short of the $1.50 billion currently projected by analysts, signaling a cautious approach to future growth as the company navigates ongoing volume volatility.
