Cronos Profit Falls to $17.8 Million Despite Revenue Growth

Cronos reported third-quarter net income of $17.8 million, down from $28.3 million a year earlier, even as revenue rose 75% to $63.5 million on record sales in Canada and Germany and another quarterly sales record in Israel.

The Canadian cannabis company said higher operating expenses and a larger income-tax provision weighed on profit. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, adjusted, increased to $17.1 million from $5.68 million in 2025. Cost of sales rose 69%, and the company recorded a $1.64 million inventory writedown, more than three times the year-earlier amount.

Cronos said its Spinach brand continued to gain market share in Canada, holding the top position in vapes for a third consecutive quarter and the leading position in edibles for a ninth. Peace Naturals remained Israel’s leading cannabis brand, the company said. Cronos’s portfolio also includes Lord Jones.

Aurora Cannabis, a Canadian medical-cannabis company, reported a 9.2% increase in quarterly revenue to 86 million Canadian dollars ($62 million). International medical-cannabis revenue climbed 44% to a record C$61.4 million, helping narrow Aurora’s third-quarter loss to C$21.1 million from C$53 million a year earlier. The prior-year result for continuing operations included C$13.7 million in impairment charges. Adjusted EBITDA was C$14 million, compared with C$15.4 million a year earlier.

Aurora agreed this week to be acquired by Canada’s Organigram Global for about C$560 million, a deal that would allow it to fend off a hostile bid from U.S. cannabis company Curaleaf Holdings.
