The project centers on the development of multiple campuses that will house the hardware necessary to power next-generation AI services. According to the company, the initiative is expected to generate 540 direct full-time roles within the data centers while supporting an estimated 1,710 positions across the broader community.
Infrastructure and Community Impact
Beyond the server racks, Amazon’s commitment includes a $400 million investment in public water infrastructure to support the new facilities. This utility overhaul is intended to modernize local systems while meeting the high cooling demands of large-scale computing environments.
The workforce expansion will draw on a variety of technical and operational skill sets. Amazon anticipates the project will create opportunities for:
