Service Corp. International Boosts Share Buyback Program

Service Corp. International is signaling renewed confidence in its financial position, as the board of directors authorized an additional $472 million for share repurchases. This expansion brings the company’s total remaining buyback capacity to $600 million, effectively scaling up the capital return program for its investors.

The funerary services provider currently maintains a market capitalization of $10.2 billion, supported by 138.15 million outstanding shares. With a public float of 135.16 million shares, the increased authorization represents a significant portion of the company's equity value. Following the announcement, the stock remained steady, closing Thursday's trading session at $73.72 per share.
