General Manager Mohamed Hashesh noted that the renovation was driven by the rapid acceleration of the Back Bay district, aiming to align the hotel with the area's contemporary growth. The property, now managed by Highgate, features a redesigned lobby with walnut millwork and patterned marble, alongside the new 40 Dalton Kitchen & Bar. Guest rooms have been updated with 66-inch televisions and modern bathrooms, while premium suites now offer electronic drapes and expanded 450-square-foot layouts.
A significant focus of the project is the 3,500-square-foot fitness center. This facility includes both indoor and outdoor spaces equipped with Peloton bikes and Life Fitness technology, catering to the rising demand for wellness-integrated travel. The hotel also upgraded its 15,000 square feet of event space across 13 venues, with a new 2,500-square-foot location called The Commonwealth set to open this summer. Looking forward, the hotel plans to launch community-focused programming and wellness partnerships to integrate the property further into the local cultural and historical landscape.
