Her background spans 24 years in the industry, having managed operations in diverse territories including Türkiye, Russia, and across the African continent. She brings specific clinical expertise in oncology, hematology, and neuroscience to the position.
Michelle Calope, senior vice president for Intercontinental Markets, pointed to Al-Ahmad’s deep regional network as a primary driver for the selection. The company aims to integrate its research-heavy portfolio with the evolving healthcare infrastructure in the Gulf. Al-Ahmad intends to focus on deepening partnerships and accelerating the delivery of specialized treatments to patients, emphasizing the company's broader mission to tackle serious diseases through scientific innovation.
