Parabola Debuts Prowork to Automate Complex Finance and Ops Tasks

Operations and finance teams often rely on fragmented spreadsheets and manual labor to manage inventory and month-end closes, creating persistent bottlenecks. San Francisco-based Parabola is now addressing this inefficiency with Prowork, a new platform that allows users to deploy AI agents to automate mission-critical workflows through simple, plain-language descriptions.

The new tool aims to replace opaque, unreliable AI systems with transparent, auditable agents. Users describe their specific operational processes, and the platform generates interactive artifacts that teams can deploy and refine without needing engineering support or SQL expertise. By providing a step-by-step view of how each agent functions, the system allows businesses to maintain control while offloading repetitive manual tasks.

Early adopters, including WHOOP, Fabletics, and On Running, report significant improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Dani Ragan, SVP of Data & AI at Fabletics, noted that processes previously requiring ten hours are now completed in one, while Marie Fodness, AVP of Global Operations at WHOOP, highlighted the team's newfound autonomy in fixing operational issues without relying on external tickets. As companies face pressure to scale amidst skepticism over AI reliability, Parabola is positioning Prowork as a predictable, manageable solution for high-growth brands.
