The Indian AI sector is on an aggressive growth trajectory, with market projections climbing from USD 17.87 billion in 2026 to USD 119.44 billion by 2032. Despite this momentum, the country contributes only 2% of global large-scale AI systems. This disparity reveals a fundamental disconnect: while India ranks third globally in its operating environment, it sits at 68th for infrastructure readiness. Reliance on foreign hyperscalers has exacerbated the issue, driving up compute costs and creating bottlenecks in model iteration.
To bridge this divide, Yotta has introduced its Shakti Cloud, an AI-native ecosystem powered by NVIDIA H100 and A100 clusters. By keeping compute resources within national borders, the company aims to help sectors like healthcare, finance, and manufacturing lower their total cost of ownership. The research underscores that India’s next phase of technological leadership depends less on talent and more on the ability to scale sovereign, high-performance compute infrastructure that aligns with the broader IndiaAI Mission.
