The lawsuit claims that Wyssta Services, Inc. violated the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Illinois Eavesdropping Statute by deploying advertising and analytics technologies, including pixels and cookies, without obtaining user consent. While Wyssta Services denies these allegations and any wrongdoing, the company has agreed to establish a settlement fund of up to $12,670,284 to resolve the matter.
Class members who submit valid claim forms by August 20, 2026, are eligible to receive up to $16.50. This figure may be reduced if the volume of valid claims exceeds the available funds after accounting for legal fees, administration costs, and a $3,000 service award for the representative plaintiff. Those who wish to opt out of the settlement or file an objection must do so by the August 20 deadline. The court is scheduled to hold a final approval hearing on September 9, 2026.
