The program, housed under The George B. Delaplaine Jr. School of Business, is designed for flexibility, offering online coursework that accommodates both synchronous and asynchronous learning. Students with prior business backgrounds can complete the degree requirements in as few as 36 credits. Beyond the classroom, the curriculum encourages practical application through optional internships with regional companies, allowing students to earn up to six credits while engaging with local industry leaders.
David Gurzick, Ph.D., professor of management and director of the program, notes that the degree is tailored for leaders who must synthesize technical proficiency with a broader vision for solving complex business problems. Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the degree aims to capitalize on Hood’s proximity to the I-270 technology corridor. Enrollment is currently open for the fall 2026 semester, expanding the college’s existing portfolio of graduate business offerings.
