Fapon Biopharma and MOTE Therapeutics Unveil B-Cell Immunotherapy Suite

At the BIO 2026 International Convention in San Diego, Fapon Group subsidiaries Fapon Biopharma and MOTE Therapeutics are debuting a dual-platform strategy designed to tackle autoimmune diseases. The companies intend to leverage combined T-cell engager and in vivo CAR-T technologies to achieve durable B-cell depletion in upcoming clinical trials.

The core of the presentation focuses on two complementary assets: FPE024, a CD19×BCMA×CD3 tri-specific T-cell engager, and MTX001, a CD19×BCMA in vivo CAR-T therapy. FPE024 utilizes Fapon’s proprietary VHH human-cynomolgus cross-binding platform, while MTX001 relies on MOTE’s mobilize™ targeted LNP system, which facilitates cell-specific delivery without chemical conjugation. Both programs are slated to reach human testing milestones within the next six months, with an IND filing for FPE024 expected in Q1 2027 and a first-in-human study for MTX001 targeted for Q4 2026.

Beyond these lead candidates, the companies are highlighting a broader portfolio of first-in-class fusion proteins, including the PD1×IL10M candidate FP008, which is currently undergoing Phase I development. Representatives will detail the technical roadmap for these programs on June 22 at 4:30 PM PT in Room 3 of the San Diego Convention Center. The firms are actively seeking co-development and licensing partners to accelerate the clinical advancement of their pipeline, which spans oncology and various autoimmune indications.
