Luca Martin Claims Dominant Victory at Lenzerheide World Cup

French rider Luca Martin secured his first win of the 2026 season in the Elite Men Cross-Country (XCO) race at Lenzerheide, Switzerland, finishing 25 seconds ahead of his rivals. The 24-year-old’s commanding performance vaulted him to the top of the overall Cross-Country Olympic World Cup standings.

Martin’s victory in the XCO final capped a stellar weekend for the Monster Energy team at the Bike Kingdom Park. After 45 minutes of racing, he capitalized on a tactical error by Adrien Boichis to pull away, clocking a winning time of 1:20:43. This result adds to his earlier success in the Short Track (XCC) discipline, where he finished second in a tight 20-minute sprint, leaving him second in the overall season rankings for that category.

Beyond the cross-country success, the team saw significant results in the Downhill events. Amaury Pierron narrowly missed the top spot in the Elite Men’s division, finishing just 0.482 seconds behind the winner to secure second place and climb to second in the overall rankings. In the Elite Women’s Downhill, Marine Cabirou took fourth, securing vital points that keep her in fourth place in the season standings. The circuit now moves to La Thuile, Italy, where racing is scheduled to resume from July 3–5.
