The campaign will deploy three helicopter-portable drill rigs across the Skaergaard license area, utilizing both vertical and angled holes to extract HQ and NQ core samples. Nordisk Fundering, a Scandinavian contractor with extensive Arctic experience, will focus on rock-mass characterization and metallurgical data collection, which will be processed in collaboration with GTK Mintec.
Greenland Mines President Bo Møller Stensgaard noted that the contract represents a pivotal step in consolidating the company's drilling, logistics, and engineering efforts. Beyond the core drilling, the company has secured a specialized icebreaker and accommodation vessel equipped with a helicopter platform to maintain the project's supply chain in the demanding northern environment. The data gathered during this season is intended to refine the project’s geological models and support upcoming economic feasibility studies for the site.
