This collaboration marks a strategic move for the Lenexa-based financial cooperative, which has served the region since 1953. By aligning with Kansas City’s newest professional women’s sports team, Mainstreet aims to extend its community footprint beyond traditional banking. The agreement includes brand visibility across digital and stationary signage at the ballpark, alongside interactive fan activations scheduled throughout the season.
A central component of the deal focuses on education. Mainstreet, founded by a group of teachers over seven decades ago, is launching a Teacher Appreciation Night and a Teacher of the Game program. The credit union will donate 500 tickets to local schools, while honoring one educator at each of the Diamonds’ 21 home games. Bob Mayes, President and CEO of Mainstreet, noted that the sponsorship mirrors the dedication required for both financial success and athletic achievement. Diamonds President Jeremy McDowell added that the partnership leverages the platform of professional sports to foster local mentorship and inspire young athletes.
