Strongwater enters the role with over two decades of experience leading major academic and integrated health systems, including UMass Medical Center and Geisinger Health System. His background in population health and physician resilience aligns with PrescriberPoint’s objective to automate labor-intensive tasks like prior authorizations. This appointment follows the company's recent validation of its AI-powered Prior Authorization Agent, which reported a 94.5 percent clinician acceptance rate earlier this spring.
At PrescriberPoint, Strongwater will bridge the gap between technical development and bedside practice. CEO Dan Cornwell noted that the hire is intended to ensure the platform’s innovations remain anchored in real-world clinical requirements. Strongwater, who was recognized as one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 50 Healthcare Executives in 2020, plans to focus on reducing the administrative burden that currently diverts providers from patient care. The company currently supports a network reaching more than 5 million healthcare professionals, positioning itself as a significant player in the digital health infrastructure space.
