Kubota Honors Five Farmer Veterans at NASCAR San Diego Weekend

Against the roar of the NASCAR Cup Series at Naval Base Coronado, five military veterans transitioned into a new mission on June 22. Kubota Tractor Corporation and the Farmer Veteran Coalition presented the recipients with new machinery, marking a milestone in the decade-long "Geared to Give" program.

The honorees—Keelan Brown, Justin Butts, Hudson Grigg, Jeff Morrison, and Joseph Santry—represent a cross-section of the U.S. military, from the Navy and Marine Corps to the Army. Each was selected to receive specialized equipment tailored to their specific farming operations, ranging from compact tractors to utility vehicles. The presentation took place during a pre-race ceremony, where the veterans met with the Trackhouse Racing team and toured the garage area, bridging the gap between high-speed automotive performance and the steady, long-term work of American agriculture.

Since its inception in 2015, the "Geared to Give" initiative has donated 56 pieces of equipment and over $1.2 million in support to veterans transitioning into civilian farming. The 2026 cohort emerged from a pool of 700 applicants, chosen by Kubota’s five regional divisions. For the recipients, the new gear provides more than just utility; it serves as a foundation for scaling regenerative farms and produce operations that sustain local food systems across Tennessee, New York, Colorado, Wisconsin, and California. This event also served as an early activation of Kubota’s new multi-year partnership with NASCAR, underscoring a corporate commitment to veterans that mirrors the resilience required in both professional racing and agricultural life.
