The new model serves as a milestone for the MR-G series, which debuted in 1996 as the pinnacle of G-SHOCK engineering. The bezel is crafted from COBARION, an alloy four times harder than pure titanium, featuring intricate facets cut by renowned Japanese gemstone artisan Kazuhito Komatsu. Finished with blue arc ion plating and accented with lab-grown blue sapphires, the design aims to replicate the visual depth of deep-sea ice columns. Each caseback carries the iconic FROGMAN frog emblem and a unique serial number.
Beyond aesthetics, the watch maintains the rugged standards expected of the series. It features ISO 200-meter water resistance, a screw-lock crown, and the proprietary Clad Guard Structure. Constructed from Ti64 titanium alloy, the piece includes Bluetooth connectivity for accessing tide data across 3,300 global locations and tracking dive logs via the CASIO Watches app. The package arrives in a custom case developed with luggage brand Proteca, containing both an interchangeable titanium bracelet and a durable Dura-Soft strap. Priced at $9,500, the watch is available immediately through the G-SHOCK SoHo store and select retailers.
