Baker Hughes will serve as the primary provider of subsurface, digital, and power generation technologies, while Mantle Reach Power, backed by EnCap Investments, manages project development, financing, and ownership. The partnership aims to deliver up to 500 megawatts of installed capacity by addressing the financial and technical hurdles that have historically slowed geothermal adoption.
By leveraging EnCap’s capital and Baker Hughes’s technical suite, the companies intend to streamline pre-construction bankability and de-risk the development process. This move positions geothermal energy as a competitive alternative for the surging power demands of the technology sector, shifting the industry toward industrial-scale deployment.
