PDS Health Retains Civic 50 Honors for Community Impact

For the third consecutive year, Henderson-based PDS Health has secured a spot on The Civic 50, an annual ranking by Points of Light that recognizes the nation’s most community-minded corporations. The organization also earned top honors as an Integration and Culture Category Leader for embedding social impact into its business operations.

The recognition highlights the company's efforts to move beyond traditional charitable programs by weaving service into its internal culture. According to Jennifer Sirangelo, president and CEO of Points of Light, the firm distinguishes itself by building authentic community relationships and using its core business model as a vehicle for social good. Stephen E. Thorne IV, founder and CEO of PDS Health, credited the achievement to the thousands of team members and clinicians who dedicate their time to service, noting that these initiatives are central to the company’s mission of improving patient health outcomes.

The scale of this commitment was particularly visible in 2025, when staff contributed over 110,846 volunteer hours. During the annual Smile Generation Serve Day, clinicians provided more than $20 million in donated healthcare services to underserved populations. Beyond clinical support, the organization directed $1.9 million to charity: water for initiatives in Ethiopia and over $1.4 million into the PDS Health Foundation for scholarships and special needs dentistry. Collaborative projects, such as the construction of 21 playgrounds with KABOOM!, further demonstrate the company's focus on expanding access to resources in under-resourced areas.
