Ollin Biosciences Secures $330 Million for Phase 3 Retina Drug Trials

Ollin Biosciences has raised $330 million in an oversubscribed Series B financing round, backed by a syndicate of top-tier healthcare investors. The capital will fund global Phase 3 clinical trials for IBI324, a bispecific antibody targeting diabetic macular edema and wet age-related macular degeneration, scheduled to begin in late 2026.

The funding round, co-led by TCGX and ARCH Venture Partners, attracted a broad group of institutional backers, including a16z Bio+Health, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. This injection of capital follows positive data from the 164-patient JADE clinical trial, where the drug candidate demonstrated faster retinal drying and superior visual outcomes compared to the current standard, faricimab.

Ollin, which operates in partnership with Innovent Biologics, has already consulted with the FDA and the European Medicines Agency to align on the design of the upcoming registrational program. The planned Phase 3 studies will span multiple regions, including China and South Korea, as the company seeks to establish its therapy as a new standard of care in the $15 billion retina market. Jason Ehrlich, CEO of Ollin, noted that the successful raise provides the necessary resources to advance the drug toward commercialization while scaling the company's internal operations.
