Zuiko Corp Quarterly Losses Deepen to 181 Million Yen

A sharp contraction in revenue pushed Zuiko Corp into a deeper deficit during the first quarter ending May 20. The Japanese manufacturing firm reported a net loss of 181 million yen, nearly quadruple the 49 million yen loss recorded during the same period last year, according to its latest financial filing.

Zuiko Corp Quarterly Losses Deepen to 181 Million Yen

The company’s top-line performance struggled significantly, with revenue dropping to 4.17 billion yen from 5.16 billion yen a year earlier. This decline in sales volume weighed heavily on the firm’s bottom line, resulting in an operating loss of 225 million yen, compared to a 76 million yen loss in the previous corresponding period.

Pretax figures mirrored this downward trend, settling at a loss of 191 million yen against 71 million yen in 2025. Diluted by these results, the loss per share widened to 6.99 yen from 1.86 yen. These figures were prepared under Japanese accounting standards.
