The proposed infrastructure project follows Kazakhstan’s designation of 2026 as its Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. Facing a domestic shortfall in high-end computing power, the government is seeking foreign partnerships to bolster its sovereign capacity. SuperX has outlined a three-year construction roadmap, starting with a 200-megawatt cluster in 2027, followed by expansions of 300 megawatts in 2028 and 500 megawatts in 2029.

SuperX Chairman Huang Chenhong highlighted Kazakhstan’s energy reserves and favorable investment climate as key incentives for the investment. The company intends to deploy its specialized liquid cooling and high-voltage direct current solutions, leveraging its existing NVIDIA OEM credentials to differentiate its offering from standard hardware vendors. The Kazakh government has invited the firm to conduct site-selection surveys to determine if the proposal can move into the development phase, with a potential joint working group currently under consideration to manage regulatory, energy, and talent requirements.
