Under the leadership of President David Haggerty and Chief Executive Ross Hutchins, the newly named entity has pledged to reinvest at least 85% of its annual income back into the sport over the next decade. This capital will support its 214 national tennis associations, focusing on five core pillars: increasing recreational participation, refining talent pathways for professional aspirants, and elevating flagship events like the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup. The organization is also prioritizing digital connectivity and player wellbeing to ensure the sport remains relevant to younger audiences.
To facilitate this evolution, World Tennis has launched its first-ever Global Tennis Fan Survey, inviting enthusiasts worldwide to contribute their perspectives on the sport’s future. Respondents are eligible for an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2026 Davis Cup Finals in Bologna, Italy. By aligning these development goals with direct community feedback, the federation seeks to transition from a traditional regulatory body into a more accessible driver of global athletic opportunity.
