Despite this top-line expansion, operating profit contracted to 1.09 billion yen compared to 1.27 billion yen previously. Pretax profit also fell, landing at 1.14 billion yen against the 1.36 billion yen recorded in the prior year. Consequently, earnings per share declined to 4.56 yen from 5.78 yen.
