Aegea Secures R$1.7 Billion to Fuel Sanitation Expansion

Aegea Saneamento has finalized R$1.7 billion in long-term financing, tapping into a mix of international and development bank credit to bolster its massive infrastructure rollout. These new capital injections are designed to stretch the company's debt maturity while accelerating universal sanitation coverage across its primary regional service areas.

The financing package includes a R$825 million disbursement for Corsan from the Inter-American Development Bank, structured over 14 years, and R$420 million for Águas de Manaus via BNDES with a 19-year term. Additional capital includes R$57.8 million from Banco do Nordeste for Ambiental Ceará 2 and a R$350 million agreement with Banco da Amazônia for Águas de Manaus, carrying maturities of 22 and 18 years respectively.

These deals bring Aegea's total financing commitments for 2026 to R$5.6 billion, with R$5.0 billion already hitting company accounts. By aligning these long-term debt instruments with the lifecycle of its sanitation assets, the firm intends to sustain its aggressive organic growth targets and meet regulatory obligations for service expansion in the regions it serves.
