The compromised data primarily concerns former staff members, exposing a wide range of personal identifiers. The breach included Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license and passport details, and financial account information. Furthermore, the exfiltrated files contained medical records and health insurance data, heightening the risk for those affected.
Yellow Corp. identified the breach during an internal investigation, though the company’s current status as a bankrupt entity has complicated the notification process. Unable to reach individuals directly due to outdated or inaccessible contact records, the company opted for a public disclosure to alert those whose private information remains at risk.
