De Boissieu arrives from Davidson Kempner, where he served as a Managing Director overseeing investments across various capital structures. His career spans over two decades, beginning at Lehman Brothers within the M&A division before moving to Barclays Capital. His extensive background in both equity and credit landscapes is expected to drive the firm's sourcing and execution capabilities in an increasingly volatile economic environment.

Bouk van Geloven, Co-Head of the European Investment Team, noted that de Boissieu’s arrival aligns with the firm’s strategy to capitalize on shifting market dynamics. Since its inception in 2001, Strategic Value Partners has deployed over $20 billion across Europe. With $21 billion in total assets under management, the firm continues to prioritize special situations and opportunistic credit, leveraging its presence in Greenwich, New York, London, Tokyo, and Dubai to unlock value for its portfolio companies.
