The panel, titled "The New Digital Infrastructure Arms Race for AI Compute," is scheduled for September 9, 2026. Ivey will share the stage with Clint Heiden of EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure, Dr. Sanjay Basu of Oracle, and Vinay Nagpal of IG Group. The discussion aims to address the intense pressure on site selection, power procurement, and cooling technologies required to sustain modern GPU clusters.
Bringing four decades of experience from roles at MCI, Nextel, and Sprint, Ivey has spent his career overseeing major telecommunications and data center build-outs. His current work at Crusoe focuses on the specialized requirements of AI factories, which he describes as necessitating a fundamental rethinking of how infrastructure is deployed. Jasmine Bedi, CEO of InterGlobix, noted that Ivey’s background provides a rare perspective on the practical realities of scaling facilities to meet the current innovation wave. Connectbase CEO Ben Edmond highlighted that the session will prioritize real-world obstacles, including connectivity constraints and the tight timelines facing providers today.
