Bluprynt and Chainproof Target Digital Asset Risk with Verified D&O

Directors and officers overseeing digital assets often face insurance premiums that fail to distinguish between transparent, collateralized tokens and opaque, high-risk projects. To bridge this gap, Bluprynt and Chainproof have launched Verified D&O, an insurance framework that utilizes machine-verifiable identity and collateral data to streamline the underwriting process.

The current insurance landscape for digital assets relies heavily on static disclosures and periodic audits, leaving well-governed firms to be priced alongside reckless counterparts. By integrating Bluprynt’s Know Your Issuer and Proof of Collateral technology, the new framework allows issuers to seal verifiable evidence on-chain. Chainproof then utilizes this data to assess risk more accurately, rewarding transparency with a more efficient underwriting path.

Christopher J. Brummer, CEO of Bluprynt, noted that for too long, corporate leaders behind collateralized tokens have faced the same costs as those operating without substantial backing. The pilot program for Verified D&O is currently operating under the jurisdiction of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, initially focusing on non-custodial issuers of real-world assets. Chainproof CEO Don Ho added that the partnership aims to move compliance at the speed of business, allowing institutions to shift focus from manual verification to delivering value to customers.
