Element Fleet Management Reports Progress in Climate and Fleet Metrics

Element Fleet Management has published its 2026 Sustainability Report, detailing a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and the expansion of its electric vehicle portfolio. The Toronto-based fleet manager claims these results stem from a long-term strategy to integrate decarbonization into its global operations and client service models.

The company reported a 76.8 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, alongside a 42.9 percent decrease in Scope 3 emissions intensity compared to its 2019 baseline. Beyond carbon metrics, the firm matched all global office electricity consumption with renewable energy certificates. By the end of 2025, Element managed approximately 129,000 electric vehicles, serving as a primary lever for its clients' transition to lower-carbon operations.

Claire M. Murphy, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Sustainability Officer, noted that the firm remains focused on navigating mobility complexities through data-driven insights. Governance indicators remained stable, with the company retaining a B rating from CDP for the third consecutive year and earning a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis. Internally, the organization maintained global pay parity and achieved a 79 percent engagement score among its workforce. The company also reported $2.3 billion in spending directed toward more than 3,600 diverse suppliers, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive procurement.
