The expansion introduces the Lopesan Caoba Lagoon, Lopesan Serenity Bay, and Lopesan Splash Cove, all designed in collaboration with HKS Architects and ROAM. These properties are anchored by The Boulevard, a central open-air promenade that functions as a modern town square, housing an 820-seat theater, a casino, and a variety of dining and nightlife venues. Each resort caters to a specific traveler demographic: the 554-room Caoba Lagoon features a massive 127-meter pool and a new convention center, the 239-room Serenity Bay offers an adults-only retreat, and the 242-room Splash Cove provides a family-oriented environment with water park attractions.
Carlos Jimenez, the group’s Caribbean regional director, described the project as a defining moment for the company, aiming to elevate the standard of the modern all-inclusive experience. Beyond the physical construction, the project serves as a major regional economic driver, generating 700 jobs initially with projections to reach 1,100 roles at full capacity. The company is now pursuing AAA Four Diamond recognition for these new sites, mirroring the status of the existing Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort.
