The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) confirmed that 53 percent of the space used in 2025 is already reserved for the September 7–12, 2027 event. This surge follows a successful 2025 iteration, where 750 exhibitors from 37 countries showcased over 350 world premieres. VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel noted that the high volume of rebookers validates the current conceptual strategy, which prioritizes interconnected mobility over isolated vehicle displays.

Major manufacturers and technology firms including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Google, and CATL have already secured their spots. Beyond the automotive core, the event continues to integrate diverse transit sectors; Riese & Müller CEO Dr. Sandra Wolf highlighted the increasing prominence of premium e-bikes and cargo solutions within the show’s landscape. With exhibitor satisfaction reaching 96 percent in 2025 and a recommendation rate climbing to 83 percent, the VDA and Messe München have secured the event's future in Munich through 2031.
