CEO Peter Fitzpatrick stated the initiative is designed to provide students with practical experience in journalism and technology while ensuring under-reported activities receive community exposure.

Security remains a core component of the rollout, as uReport recently earned 1EdTech TrustedED Apps Certification for Data Privacy. The platform is also listed in the International Society for Transforming Education’s Learning Technology Directory. By streamlining the storytelling process, DistrictWON intends to document thousands of events that previously lacked a dedicated media presence, turning school activities into a central pillar of local community engagement.
