Orange County Music & Dance Doubles Footprint with Second Irvine Campus

With enrollment demand rising, Orange County Music & Dance has secured a 25,000-square-foot facility just steps from its current Irvine headquarters. This acquisition effectively doubles the school’s total instructional space to 50,000 square feet, allowing the non-profit to add 400 students to its performing arts programs this November.

The new Cowan Campus, located at 17872 Cowan, sits less than a five-minute walk from the existing Fitch Campus. This proximity is intended to maintain seamless operations between faculty and students across both sites. The expansion introduces five large dance and rehearsal studios, 10 teaching rooms, six music rehearsal spaces, a keyboard lab, and an advanced music production studio.

Dr. Ralph Opacic, President and CEO, noted that the additional infrastructure will broaden the school’s reach from early childhood education through adult arts programs. The facility will specifically host new pre-conservatory and conservatory tracks for grades 6-12, alongside a global sounds curriculum. These upgrades aim to solidify the institution’s role as a regional hub for performing arts, supported by ongoing donor contributions and a commitment to accessible financial aid for local families.
