Thibeau’s career path began in 1983 after graduating from Assumption University with a degree in politics. Initially working in sales and financial advising, he transitioned into the energy sector by taking a role in investor relations for a West Virginia firm. This experience provided the foundation for his 2014 appointment as president of Wheeler Resource Recovery LLC. In this capacity, he oversees equipment procurement, project logistics, and service crew coordination, while simultaneously driving the firm’s waterflooding initiatives.
These recovery methods allow the company to extract additional oil from established fields, a strategy that mitigates the risks associated with new exploration. Under his leadership, the firm has garnered attention in publications including Forbes and The Wall Street Journal. Looking ahead, Thibeau intends to leverage these technologies to reach a production goal of 17 million barrels of oil, while continuing to cultivate new investment opportunities across the industry.
