The project, developed alongside Ghost Galaxy, leverages a multi-studio strategy to populate the game with legendary IP. While Universal Products & Experiences was previously named as a cornerstone partner, the addition of Blumhouse and other studios signals a push to capture the modern horror audience. Players will lead decks anchored by famous monsters, including Dracula, The Bride of Frankenstein, and the creature from Jaws, utilizing custom illustrations from over 43 artists.
Doug Wadleigh, President of Toys at Spin Master, described the move as a significant expansion of the company’s games portfolio. Jason Blum, founder of Blumhouse, noted that the game design aims to translate the studio’s decades of horror experience into a fan-centric, interactive format. Each round challenges players to build resources and deploy minions, with the objective of eliminating the opposing player's monster. Further character reveals are expected in the coming months as the launch date approaches.
