ALTA Foundation Grants $10,000 for Wildland Firefighter Families

The American Land Title Association (ALTA) Good Deeds Foundation has issued a $10,000 emergency grant to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. The contribution arrives during a volatile wildfire season, specifically following the deaths of three firefighters near the Colorado-Utah border, to assist families navigating medical crises and loss.

The Wildland Firefighter Foundation, based in Idaho, operates a national support network for the families of those injured or killed while battling blazes. The organization provides essential financial aid, covering funeral costs and long-term support services for survivors. Steve Day, board chair of the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, emphasized the necessity of backing these responders who protect homes and communities during increasingly dangerous fire seasons.

ALTA CEO Chris Morton noted that this donation represents the title insurance industry’s broader commitment to community stability. Since 2020, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation has distributed $1.5 million in grants across 47 states and the District of Columbia. The association, which represents over 17,000 title insurance companies, continues to focus its philanthropic efforts on housing stability and support for families facing sudden hardship.
