Evotec Trims 2026 Outlook Amid Revenue Shortfall

Hamburg-based biotech firm Evotec SE has issued a stark revision to its 2026 financial forecast, citing disappointing performance in the first half of the year. Preliminary data reveals a significant gap between previous guidance and the company’s current trajectory, prompting an immediate recalibration of its full-year revenue and EBITDA targets.

For the first six months of 2026, Evotec reported revenues of approximately €300.1 million, accompanied by an adjusted group EBITDA loss of €42.7 million. As of June 30, the company maintained liquidity levels of roughly €465.6 million. These figures arrived well ahead of the full financial report scheduled for release on August 13.

The updated full-year outlook now projects revenue between €570 million and €610 million, a sharp decrease from the initial guidance of €700 million to €780 million. Profitability expectations have similarly soured, with adjusted group EBITDA now projected to fall between -€70 million and -€105 million, moving away from the previously anticipated break-even or positive performance of €0 to €40 million.
