In his new capacity, Self will perform underwriting and monitoring duties for the firm’s investment vehicles. The appointment marks a transition for the University of Mississippi finance graduate, who previously earned his Bachelor of Business Administration cum laude. Pittco President and Chief Investment Officer Henry Guy expressed confidence in Self's ability to contribute to the firm’s long-term objectives.
Pittco serves as the single-family office for Joseph R. "Pitt" Hyde III, the founder of AutoZone, and his wife, Barbara. Based in Memphis for over three decades, the firm manages a broad range of financial, tax, and accounting services for the family. Self stated that he views the position as an opportunity to support the Hyde family’s philanthropic and financial legacy within the Memphis community.
