The new flavor aims to capture the essence of the non-alcoholic cocktail by pairing sweet cherry notes with a bright citrus finish, all without the carbonation of the traditional drink. Carmela Hughley, senior vice president of marketing insights and innovation, noted that the company wanted to reimagine a timeless favorite to anchor their summer seasonal menu.
Beyond the standalone scoop, the company is integrating the flavor into three specialty items: a Gelati layered with vanilla frozen custard, a blended icy beverage, and a Misto shake. These additions arrive as part of a broader summer push from the brand, with further menu expansions expected later this month. Customers can access the new items through the Rita’s mobile app, which currently offers incentives for new loyalty members.
