The company reported second-quarter revenue of $6.3 billion, surpassing the $6.11 billion projected by FactSet. Net profit climbed to $870 million, or $1.23 a share, compared with $555 million in the same period last year. Adjusted earnings reached $1.94 a share, comfortably clearing the $1.84 consensus. Chief Executive Rainer Blair characterized the period as one of the company's strongest in recent years, bolstered by robust performance in its Life Sciences segment.
Despite these results, the outlook for the third quarter suggests a deceleration, with core revenue growth expected to slow to between 2% and 3%. While the company raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $8.45 to $8.60, officials noted the bump is primarily tied to the accelerated closing of the Masimo acquisition. That deal has simultaneously increased financial pressure, with interest expenses rising to $107 million from $71 million a year ago. Looking further ahead, Blair maintained a positive stance on order trends, citing mid-teens growth in bioprocessing and reiterating a target of mid-single-digit core revenue growth by the end of 2026.
