The handover ceremony at the Sestri Ponente shipyard gathered maritime leadership, including MSC Group’s Pierfrancesco Vago and Fincantieri’s Pierroberto Folgiero, to celebrate the vessel’s completion. Extending 19.2 metres longer than its predecessors, the ship prioritizes increased space and privacy, featuring new culinary concepts like The Cellar and The Chef’s Table, alongside reimagined wellness facilities and a second Owner’s Residence designed by Patricia Urquiola.

Following the delivery, the vessel will embark on a five-night Mediterranean Prelude Journey on July 24, 2026, ahead of its official naming in Barcelona on August 1. The ship’s inaugural season will span Northern Europe, Iceland, and North America, with a deployment strategy emphasizing longer stays and deep destination immersion. Beyond its guest-facing amenities, the vessel utilizes shore power technology and LNG fuel compatibility, signaling a transition toward renewable energy alternatives as the MSC Group works toward its 2050 net-zero emissions goal.
