Equinix is reshuffling its top ranks, naming former HashiCorp executive Chris Audie as Chief Product Officer and promoting 16-year company veteran Bruce Owen to Executive Vice President of Global Markets. Audie joins the Redwood City-based data center operator with a mandate to oversee interconnection, infrastructure, and ecosystem partnerships. His background includes leadership roles at Google Cloud and SAP, most recently serving as Chief Product and Technology Officer at HashiCorp before its acquisition by IBM. Fox-Martin characterized Audie as an engineer capable of solving complex technical hurdles at the intersection of infrastructure and AI, signaling a shift toward more specialized product development.

Bruce Owen, who previously served as President of the firm's EMEA region, will now lead operations across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific. His tenure includes managing the company's U.K. market and acting as Chief of Staff to the CEO. Fox-Martin emphasized that Owen’s deep operational experience is intended to align regional strategies and drive growth across the company’s 36-country footprint. These appointments arrive as Equinix seeks to solidify its role as a foundational layer for the expanding global AI economy.
