Monkee’s Brings Curated Boutique Retail to Bedminster

When the doors open at 2435 Lamington Road on August 13, Somerset Hills gains more than a new clothing store. Owner Amanda Vittitoe is launching the first New Jersey location of the national Monkee’s boutique brand, aiming to blend high-end designer pieces with the specific lifestyle needs of local women.

The grand opening begins at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Bedminster Mayor Lawrence F. Jacobs and Committeewoman Gina Lisa-Fernandez. Following the inaugural event, the store will host a weekend of trunk shows featuring Mignonne Gavigan, alongside personal styling sessions and refreshments. The boutique’s inventory is designed to support the varied pace of local life, offering a mix of daily essentials and standout designer accessories.

Vittitoe, whose background spans marketing, philanthropy, and design, views the space as a community hub rather than a traditional retail outlet. By prioritizing one-on-one service, she intends to simplify the shopping experience for clients balancing professional and personal commitments. This location joins a network of over 70 independently owned Monkee’s franchises founded in 1995, each maintaining autonomy over its local brand identity and inventory selections.
