The collaboration leverages Array’s proprietary formation flying and multistatic radar technology alongside Mitsubishi Electric’s established manufacturing infrastructure and deep ties to the Japanese Ministry of Defense. This partnership seeks to transform space-based moving object detection into a reliable service for government and defense clients.

Masahiko Arai, president of Mitsubishi Electric’s Defense and Space Systems, stated that the integration of the two companies' technological capabilities will enhance their ability to address complex security requirements. Array Labs, which has previously secured research contracts with DARPA, the U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Air Force, intends to use these resources to scale its fleet of radar satellites. The round also saw continued support from existing backers including Catapult Ventures, Kompas VC, and Y Combinator.
