In her new capacity, Someras will continue advising institutional property owners and developers on complex regulatory compliance and litigation. Senior Partner Nativ Winiarsky noted that her promotion reflects both the trust of the firm’s clients and her established leadership within the city’s real estate sector. Her practice remains centered on navigating Housing Court, Supreme Court proceedings, and DHCR matters.
Prior to her tenure at the firm, Someras served as General Counsel to the New York Apartment Association. During that time, she was a key figure in the Chrysafis v. Marks litigation, which reached the Supreme Court of the United States. Beyond her practice, she contributes to the New York City Bar Association’s Judiciary Committee and is a frequent commentator on real estate legal issues for outlets including Crain’s and The Real Deal. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, she is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and multiple federal district courts.
